Why are so many people turning to alternative medicine such as bio-energy therapies? Maybe it is because. 1. they work and 2. they are much safer than allopathic medicine. The therapy that doesn't work is expensive, but the one that makes you sick or kills you is devastating. Statin drugs, the fluoroquinolones, and amiodarone and many others are being prescribed like they were candy and people are dying because of it. If you understand that, the question becomes; "Why would anyone pick allopathic medicine before giving Alternative medicine a fair trial?"

Having said that; If you were to ask me if I believe that allopathic medicine has a place in health care,  I will tell you that I refer patients to Medical Doctors all the time.

 It made me very happy to hear the popular DR. OZ say that the doctors of the future will be Bio-Energy doctors. The human being is an electrical being. We run on electricity and every cell of the body is a small battery.  When the balance of energy gets unbalanced, the body becomes sick and fails to function as at its best.

 Acupuncture, Chiropractic techniques such as Applied Kinesiology, magnetic therapy, among other therapies can sometimes provide amazing results for a variety of malfunctions of the human physiology.

The trend in research is shifting to bio-energy medicine. New information is elucidating the mechanisms that make such therapies as acupuncture and hypnosis work. While I have been using these therapies for years, it is comforting to me to have the theories westernized so that my feel for the theories and comfort with the day to day applications of the techniques are more in keeping with my western orientation.
