Do you feel tired, your future appears hopeless, is it hard to concentrate? Does it seem that the pleasures and fun have gone out of life? Have you lost weight or put it on without dieting? Have you ever been given medication for depression? Do you sometimes think of suicide? If you have, you may be suffering from depression. Some people may tell you that it is only in you mind and that you should think positively.
One of the most common causes of depression is nutritional deficiencies. I know that it is hard to believe that in this country in these modern times, that nutritional deficiencies still exist. It is not what is available to you that matters but what you actually eat. I know of a patient that counted candy corn as a vegetable.
Very few doctors test for nutritional problems. I know many doctors and as far as I know, I am the only one that routinely tests for nutrition beyond the very basics.
I frequently see people, in my office, that are suffering from depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, hallucinations, and a whole array of mental challanges. Most of these people want help, they know that there is something wrong with them, and they worry that they are "going crazy". Frequently these symptoms are accompanied by physical symptoms also; such as chonic pain, irregular heart beat, loss of hair, weight gain, weight loss, changes is vision, difficulty breathing, plus many others.
Some people have been on psychiatric medication for years and are still comtemplating suicide. There is an old saying: continue to do the things you have always done, and you can expect the same results. I might add, that is the definition of "crazy. So if you have been taking a therapy for anything for a long time and you continue to expect different results, quit worrying, You have officially met the criteria to be crazy and you will be until you find a new approach.
I am willing to affirm that if you are suffering from a long term mental problem, there is a good chance that it has a nutritional connection and you will benefit from a nutritional approach to health
